First off, I want to know that if it's true that biology major must all the lower division courses along with some upper division before they transfer?

Secondly, I am considering majoring in economics, but I am worried that taking prerequisite classes are not that many classes to get me ready for med school.

I don't understand what you mean in the first part. Did you mean to say:

First off, I want to know that if it's true that biology majors must take all the lower division courses along with some upper division before they transfer?

And if so, I still don't really understand. Are you transferring to another school? I doubt any school would make you take a bunch of lower and upper level bio courses before transferring. Are you talking about transferring to medical school? You have to get a Bachelor's first before applying to medical school, and they don't care what classes you had (as long as you do the pre-reqs).

For your second question, you should major in what's interesting to you and what you can get good grades in. The pre-reqs are really pretty light for medical school. So, major in whatever you think would be fun!

I agree, I don't understand what the OP is trying to ask either. A good place to start is to see what majors your school offers. And even if you are a nonscience major, the prereqs should be generally enough for the MCAT and medical school, but even then many nonscience majors do take some science classes outside the prereqs.

Apparently non-Biology majors have a higher rate of med school acceptance, so if economics really interests you, you should make it a major.
