WOO HOO! I just got the SLU acceptance email!

I had promised myself earlier that I would donate to sdn when I get an acceptance. Well, today is the day that I donate to sdn!!!

I was thinking about donating, but now I'm going to follow your example and wait. Although my chances are probably less than yours were. Make this thing work FOR you!! 👍
 
Well my reasoning was that I will only contribute to sdn after I'm convinced that it's helped me out. I know that correlation doesn't imply causation but I guess I only feel justified in donating after I felt that something good came of it =P

Hmmm, the acceptance high is starting to wear off. Now I need to focus and pass the comprehensive exam before I get my master's and become a fully certified medical physicist as well. Thank god I've decided not to do the phd right now. I'd be here for another 3 years at least. =P

I interviewed on 11/15 and got the acceptance email on 12/16

As one of the many parents of applicants who lurk on SDN, I am grateful for everyone's willingness to share stats, stories, anxieties, joys, and sense of humor through this daunting process. I am in daily awe of the compassion and support you show each other and pray that each of you is successful.

I pledge $250 when our son (not a poster) is accepted and $100 each when Haemulon, Miesvandermom, and JackieMD receive the wonderful news that each so richly deserves. Good luck to all!

Wow, I'm surprised someone dug this thread up. Yes, I am currently almost done with gross anatomy. I feel kinda burnt out from it after studying like friggin' 6+ hours a day, including weekends. But, if it continues to keep me in the top 25% of the class I guess I better keep it up. =P

He means that Pewl is already an MS I as in has started medical school this past fall. This thread was started by him LAST DECEMBER as in 2005!!!!!

However posts by some of the great funny applicants of last year is a great flashback from the past.

My favorite posters from last cycle were: Mr.Burns810, Unfrozencaveman, RunnerMD, MCMD who still posts, BaylorMD, Turkeyman, Dr.Mota who used to post as DaMota for a while, gdbaby, Flopotomist, and Rayhan. Oh we can't forget the awesomely funny thread by willthatsall with the no tshirt in the secondary picture that was written as pure humor.
