For years there has been talk of how the number of residency positions aren’t increasing at the same rate as US medical school enrollment. I want to tell you all that I have solved this problem.
I’m sure you’re well aware, a while ago I obtained all six infinity stones, and with the snap of my fingers, half of all life in the universe was destroyed.
Which means, half of your colleagues in currently in medical school were also destroyed. But do you know what I didn’t destroy? The number of residency positions, those are still the same. Which means next year, there will be half the number of people applying for the same number of residency positions.
So for all of you DOs out there worried about next year's merger... You’re welcome.
