Okay. the first question the interview asked was what do you want to talk about other than the things on your application. I did not know what I had to talk about but anyways we talked about how I came to America and stuff

So, i am an international student and he asked me about my long term plan about my legal status (since I am holding F-1 visa) I said I have a boyfriend and hinted him that we will marry soon..
We talked about 30 mins, but i think i did not well on my interview..

My interview date was 11/4 and i know that pre-dec interview has a higher chance, but does anyone know
how many will get accepted and denied among the interviewees?

Thanks..

Never mention relationships in an interview bruh
When he asked me that question. I think I looked panicked. cuz I did not know what to say.
and then he was like, oh its okay for you to be honest...
I don't know what else I could have said in that situation

Take what you learned from this interview and apply it to the next. It's all a learning experience. You can't ace them all. I am still recovering from my lackluster interview performance a month ago.

What happened at NYU is done. No point worrying about it. (I am speaking from experience) Figure out where you can improve and turn that negative in to a positive. No one said it's easy.

I really don't think you messed up by saying you have a boyfriend. It's oaky to mention a partner. However, the problem here is that your future depends on this one guy so he might be worried because not every bf becomes a husband for everyone right? But that's okay, prepare a better answer for the next one.

What are the chances of getting an acceptance from NYU with a pre December interview?

I would hardly consider this a mess up you were honest. Don't sweat it.

I think I had the same man who interviewed me at NYU! Who did you have? He asked me the same thing when I was walked in.

I would say that the question could be taken either way, one, that you plan to marry a US citizen, thus long range plans to stay in the US, which is what the US Dental Schools are there to do, train dentists to practice in the US, or, that long run, you may or may not be training to practice in the US. I wouldn't sweat it. It is what it is and you answered truthfully.
