I think NOVA rejected me before looking at my DAT scores

I retook DAT on August 9th and scored a lot better than my previous one (which i got 16 in BIO 😡)

DAT was uploaded on AADSAS on Auust 22. Got a Rejection letter in the mail from NOVA. and the letter is dated August 21st.

Should i call them and ask if they saw my new scores ?

Wait, did you mark on your application that you were planning on retaking the exam??? If so why so early?? I mean the rejection.

Yea i would. depends what your gpa is too.
Ive called some schools about the same type of questions and most schools have told me u can ask to be reevaluated ........so id do it if i were u

I have done this is well. Definitely call and ask them to re-evaluate.

I got an early rejection letter from Nova as well and I have a feeling it might have to do with the 16 I got on QR.

I posted about this when I received my rejection email last week and they didn't receive my DAT score yet. I called and spoke with someone I know in admissions they said they are receiving so many applicants with scores above 3.5gpa and 20+ on DAT that anything less now they are just not competitive enough...

I was trying to bring up a topic that you might be more competitive if you actually wait to send in your secondary until after they receive you DAT score instead of just throwing your money away if you have a low GPA.

Wow, really? Unbelievable. I didnt get an interview from nova today although I know a few 8th batchers who did. With so many 3.5/20+ applicants (and it's probably the same for every school), thats probably a good reason why I haven't been invited for an interview by nova and probably won't be.... Such a crappy feeling. It really is crazy how competitve dental school has gotten over the past 4-5 years.

I called them. The lady said the average GPA of accepted students is 3.7 GPA and 21+ DAT


so yeah, they saw my gpa (3.48) and rejected me right away without waiting for my DAT retake

funny how they gave me an interview.. hmm.. including (+/-) 3.4 sGPA 3.5 oGPA 20AA 20 TS 21 PAT 16 RC

thanks, again getting interview doesn't guarantee an acceptance so im just hoping for the best. I'm still waiting for Cali, AZ, michican, case, creighton, UDM, and northeast schools to reply back.
