It's good practice b/c most of the questions are not word for word...you have to think about the answer....IMO anyways

The real DAT is not word for word like Achiever and TopScore?
Then do we have to read passages thoroughly?

From what I've gathered from everyone on SDN who've taken the test, the Real thing is not word for word. Most people don't read the passage but some do. I'm taking my test on wed so I'll let you if my method works for me or not. I'm going to read the first/last sentence of each paragraph and write down what I think it's about then tackle the questions. I think that works best for me. Reading the passage for me doesnt work b/c I end up reading the who passage anyway when I look for answers...

tissy you're the best. I'm so scared about RCT. I surprisingly did well on kaplan final though. I mean I got like an 18!!! but better than my 15s and 13ss... I will be the first one to read your post.
by the way, just as a note, my new method is a combination of all methods kind of. I read the first question and I start mapping/skimming very fast. I answer the first question, move on to the next. if it was something I had read, answer it fast, if not continue with my mapping/skimming🙂 its been working rather well. at least I get to the last passage questions...
