Dental schools are all about gettin paid. I wouldn't be surprised if a few schools had my rejection letter already in the envelope but waited to mail it till the check cleared.

Pretty much all the Boston schools are a waste of your money. Never heard back from either Tufts or BU except for a late late rejection from BU.

last year i applied to both Tufts and BU and heard from both schools, i guess you should contact them if you haven't heard from them after a few weeks to make sure everything has been received. i never heard from Marquette (til springtime-ish) perhaps because i submitted their secondary in early october. so apply early and hopefully everything will work out! good luck!

e-mail the **** out of schools guys! they keep records in your files. don't hassle them but ask intelligent questions. it worked for me

UMDNJ- twice!- one for dental school, and another time they took my money when I applied to their summer program. PLUS I still haven't heard back from them about my status from either applications, and I have proof that they endorsed the checks already. 😛 I am not considering Jersey no more. 👎

As others have already posted, I felt like Tufts and Boston received my completed application and fees and then vanished. I contacted both schools several times throughout the 2006 cycle and the administrators made me feel like I was bothering them when I would ask about my application. Ive also heard of many students where as soon as their applications were completed and fees were paid they were sent rejection letters soon after.

I applied to both Tufts and BU last year...I received emails from each school and got an interview at both...cancelled it, but I got one. They don't vanish once they get your money...no offense, but maybe the schools weren't interested in you or placed your application on down the line so that you would not receive much correspondence from them until late in the cycle.

I applied to 15 got 10 interviews went to 5 got in 4. I was thrilled to get into my top choice. There is only one school that I haven't heard a thing from...so it's not so bad, 1 out of 15. This is looking at the past with 20/20 hindsight. Sorta wish I didn't applied to that school so I can spend the money on some nice juicy steak dinner.

Make sure you keep a record of what schools you send checks to, the check #, and when it is deposited. I had more than one school tell me they haven't recieved a check when they had already deposited it months before.

If this is in regards to supplemental app fees....a friend of mine told me that if a school is really interested in you...u won't have to pay the supplemental fee. Some schools may even waive the supplemental fee or have u pay at a later date, if u have a good reason. I saved mucho dinero that way and when schools called for interviews I could actually travel to them.
