Will med schools accept my IB bio credits (exempt from 1&2) or do I need to take them? I'm a sophmore btw.

Are they treated like ap credits? Regardless, I would retake the courses for easy a's and to brush up on the material. College bio is way different from fancy high school honors super duper AP IB honors bio lol

Yeah there similar to AP credits, and bio is THE weed out course at my schools (small private), which is why I'm hesitant and want to make sure I make the right move.

Some probably will but some definitely won't. Definitely safest to retake.

Another person who knows the pain of IB!

Although schools will take the credit, you most likely need to take the equivalent hours in advanced biology courses for medical school requirements.

It depends on the school. You can check out school websites or MSAR to see which schools take AP/IB credits for pre-reqs. It's safest to take bio again in college, either taking the intro course or if they let you, using your IB credits to skip ahead to an upper-level bio. I used AP Bio to skip an intro semester and start taking upper-levels sooner.

if you dont take them make sure you take upper level bio courses. I placed out of BIO 1 and 2 but I took genetics, biochemistry, microbiology. If you dont take upper level bio courses then for some schools it doesnt count as taking bio courses in understand (especially when you have to list on secondary)
