ICO Alternate List?

Has anyone else been placed on the alternate list? I'm so confused because I thought my interview went very well and I am a reapplicant and have really improved my application. Not sure what more they want!

I wasn't placed on such a list, but is it different from a waitlist? It might just be that you were good enough to be accepted, but they have no seats left in the class - and if enough currently accepted applicants withdraw from their seat, then you'd get a seat. That's what I think is happening.

I am also in the same situation as you @member415. I am also a reapplicant and really improved my application and my interviewer was impressed. I thought the interview went well. I called them when I got placed on the list in November and they just told me that being placed on the list did not mean that there was anything wrong with my application or interview. They just don't have a spot for me right now and they want to see their whole applicant pool before they start pulling from the alternate list if they have space. :/

Hey @Rendezvous91! I'm sorry to hear that you're on the alternate list as well. I thought that being a reapplicant would really help, but I guess not 🙁 Atleast it's not a rejection though, now we just have to wait 🙁 Hopefully we'll both get off the list and be classmates in the fall!

They are like that. I was on the waitlist as well and decided not to go there eventually. You have to put down the deposit if you want to be waitlisted and it sucks but has to be that wy.

They lied to you. Its early january and their class is definitely not full. I was interviewed last year around march and people were still getting accepted without being waitlisted.

I'm in that position this cycle. Did any of you get off the list and how long did it take?
