I'm a member of the 2010 incoming class and am interested in renting an apartment. I was wondering what are the most popular or accessible neighborhoods for ICO students?

I'm a member of the 2010 incoming class and am interested in renting an apartment. I was wondering what are the most popular or accessible neighborhoods for ICO students?

Most popular would be Lincoln park, or East Lakeview. Not very accessible from a transit standpoint, but driving is easy as long as you live close to Lakeshore drive. Morning commute never more than 25min, going home can be up to 40 though if you do it right at rush hour.

If you're thinking of taking transit, well then you'd probe be best in the south loop, downtown, or west loop, someplace close to the green line is the best. There are also a number of buses that depart right across from ICO and head straight up Michigan ave towards downtown.
