FIRST OFF--- THIS IS MY IMPRESSION OF THE PROCESS FORM THE INFO I GATHERED/ASKED/REMEMBER. I'M NOT SAYING I AM CORRECT FOR SURE SO IF YOU ARE THAT WORRIED, AS EVERYONE SAYS---- GET OFF YOUR BUTT AND CALL.
If I remember correctly, to get 1/2 of your deposit back, you have to give up your spot by May 15th..... but don't quote me on that.
Right now the alternate list is tentative--- they are probably still interviewing whether you want to believe it or not. When that is finally over I believe they will notify people who are on the "FINAL ALTERNATE LIST." Not sure when that is but prob end of May/early June I'm guessing.
ICO evaluates all applicants on all aspects of their application when in review, whereas some schools make you "pass" an academic standard and then only evaluate you on your interview score for the remaining part of review. I also remember the admissions people saying that they will notify the first 30 people on the ranked Alternate list that they made the "FINAL ALTERNATE LIST." The rest of the lower ranked pack gets their money/deposit back in full. (But, I think you still are on the list---- just not as likely to get a seat.)
Hope that helps and I hope I am giving accurate info. That's the way I understood it. Good luck to everyone!👍
