ID rotation

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Look at the IDSA guidelines..... things like pneumonia/C.diff/skin-soft tissue infections etc

Agree wholeheartedly on this one. In fact, you should just be reading this in general.

MS4 here. About to start an ID rotation. Any good resource recommendations?
I just finished my ID rotation as well.

IDSA is a great resource.

I also read the ID portion of the MKSAP IM Essentials for students which has a great rundown on FUO.

I also dabbled a little bit in Mandells which is like the “Harrisons of ID”..just so much info. Usually I skimmed over the intro part which was a good synopsis of need to know info.

Lastly I used USFs ID Podcasts on Apple podcasts which has some absolutely solid basic rundowns on Abx as well and if you are doing ur ID rotation at a big heme/onc center there’s some great lectures on BMT OIs and tx for it as well.

Wow thanks so much! Will check out the podcasts. I also like the curbsiders IM podcast and they have a few episodes related to ID.

I can get Mandells textbook through my school. Where did you get MKSAP IM Essentials?

My girlfriend's school had MKSAP available in their student library (as a pdf and the audio companion as mp3s). My school does not, but you may have better luck.
