After reading this article and seeing that
a) ICOM has not offered itself for sale, and
b) There has been no actual offer to buy it nor funds from Idaho State approved to do so,

ISU and ICOM have pretty close ties. This wouldn’t be a surprise. ISUs president and vice president both sit on ICOMs board of trustees. ICOMs president also has close connections with ISU and seems to be very open to the idea. ICOM being partially owned by a private equity firm makes it very likely that they would be willing to sell for the right price. It all comes down to if Idahos state legislature would be willing to cough up the funds. They just recently signed off on an 8.4 million dollar expansion of ISUs heath sciences program so I guess we’ll see in the coming months if this goes anywhere.

If ISU can buy ICOM, it would definitely come off of my Bad Boy list!
