is cards fellowship matchday on 6/17 similar to residency match day where u find out on monday where u matched? and if u didn't, it'd let u know?

No. You find out whether you matched or not (and where, if you matched) on match day. You log on to the computer and find out. I believe it is noon eastern time. You can also look for unfilled programs (there usually are 2-4 that didn't officially fill) but a lot of times the open spots turn out to be filled already and/or there are only a couple open spots in the entire country that you have to fight over with hundreds of other people. If you think you might have to scramble, it's good to be ready to call and/or email the places with open spots.

Yup, no advance notice. Get your index finger ready to sit there and hit F5 until you see "congrats".
