So, tell me what you think! This is a pretty difficult group to compete with. Seems like everyone has a 3.8, 30-something MCAT, 15 years of volunteer experience in the Peace corp, discovered a gene, and is related to someone on the Admissions committee. So, i am asking, what is it going to take? I am thinking of joining our armed forces to find Bin Laden. Would that set my application apart? What do think? What crazy things would you like to do to impress the ad committee(s)? Funny suggestions only please! :D

Well, it might not help, but you'd have $25 million. Maybe you could buy your own med school!

I thought the Dennis Miller joke was hilarious...and I really like Dennis.

I actually don't mind Dennis Miller that much-it just popped into my head. :)

Ciardeme,

If I recall from earlier posts, you fit in this category...enough so that I was jealous of you.... I am sure you have competitive stats and will get into your dream school. The waiting sure sucks though! It seems to just keep going and going and going, just like the Everready bunny.. I tried to get creative on some of my secondaries, I even wrote poetry in place of the usual essays on some. Either it will seem very creative to the adcoms, or really stupid. Only time will tell...

With 25 million, you might not buy a medical school, but you sure could donate enough to a private med school to help your chances significantly.

Oregonlabrat- don't be jealous of a 22 on the MCAT! It is the one thing that will keep me out for sure. Hopefully a few years of research experience and volunteer work will blur that number. But in any case, i wish you the very best of luck. ;)

No...wait...I discovered TWO genes...c'mon get your facts straight! That and my 45 MCAT, of course...

(KIDDING)...On both accounts!

:D :D

--Still waiting on my first acceptance!
