Oh man, I am going to speeewwwww! Jk. That is a plus of dental... you can work part time if you want as an associate. I had a friend go into dental with his wife. Lucky they got into the same school. 😎
Haha...great reaction 😀

I'm glad to hear this. In all seriousness, I think the job of a mom is the most important job in the world. It's way more important than anything I do at the hospital where I work, IMO.
I'm glad to see that another woman isn't afraid of actually wanting to be a wife and mom and isn't caught in being career woman 👍

money isn't an issue, and I AM choosing dentistry : )

Dentistry wasn't always my first career choice. In fact, I applied and was accepted to a few film schools (i.e. dramatic writing concentration) before I actually considered dentistry.

I didn't attend the film schools because I thought they were too expensive. It is easy to come out of film school oweing large sums of money with no way to realistically pay it off.

After that, I shopped my first screenplay around to agents, and one actually was interested, Sherry Marsh, who was then the agent of Charles "Roc" Dutton. Sherry let Roc read the screenplay, and he said that it had potential, but he didn't have time to invest in production.

After a few weeks of phone tag, Sherry insisted that I come to LA to write full-time, but I was hesistant because I knew that I didn't want to write for a living, but still do write when time permits. Hopefully, after retirement I can write more extensively. Other than that, there is nothing I considered other than where I am now.

Take care and GOD bless.

Ok... so I know this "money is not an issue, and I am still choosing dentistry" is what most of us would like to say... but that is not an option... what would you do if you could live with great wealth but do anything?!!!?

Professional scuba instructor in tahiti!!!!! ya baby!

I think i would greatly consider being a military pilot if my eyesight werent an issue(i lack depth perception, or cross-eyed). I think pilots get paid enough to get by, $100k/yr after 10years in the military, of course it's nothing compared to doctors or dentists, but flying 15million $ planes or shooting from apaches in iraq, or just flying a cargo plane all over the world with many hours off... another bonus for pilots, you only need to finish college in any major of your choice, and only need like a 3.0 gpa, so you basically know you'll become a pilot before even starting a freshman year. If you go with the marines, you could even sign a contract in your freshman year of college and get a private license for free at the end of freshman year, it sounds very enticing, but probably wiser to go with the air force. My parents i believe hold doctors and dentists in higher regard. But i am sure my parents still respect pilots, it is still a glamourous job. It's not like being in the infantry. When i told my parents that i wanted to be a pilot, they said i wasnt healthy enough to be one, and they seemed to be happy that i had eye defects, i didnt even believe them at first and had a doctor confirm this. If i didnt, then my parents' opinion probably wouldnt mean much. as mush as they would discourage me from a dangerous job, i am sure they wouldnt disown me if it were of my own volition.

But now that i think about it, i doubt i would even make a good pilot, based on my personality. My parents did tell me that i would not fit in in the military, because i dont even listen to them, so there is no way i would take orders from anybody. And that im very irresponsible, i applied to usna and a recruiter for the usna called me in november of that year, he only reached my parents and they seemed pleased with him on the phone, and then i called him, and he said i had great chances of being accepted, i just needed to complete my application by getting a nomination from the senator. but that didnt happen, because when i asked for the nomination, it was already given out, it was too late(in november/december). Since then i believe my parents decided im too irresponsible to be in such a line of work. I can imagine that if i were to become a pilot, i would probably try to become a helicopter pilot, because the danger would appeal to me. But then if i were sent to iraq, i would suddenly realize that it's too dangerous and would start whining that i dont want to be in the military at all.

i also wanted to work in fbi. i believe my parents have less respect for them, but they know that fbi is still much more prestigious than just being a cop. but now i dont think im fighting to work in fbi so much any more, because ive decided of greatest importance in choosing profession to me is to be my own boss. i just cant stand it when people tell me what to do... and as a dentist i could probably buy me a very expensive gun and go shoot targets on my own and could probably buy a cheap plane too.

I would be a professional err..
I would be doing NOTHING

i actually wanted to be a dentist since i was little, and never knew how much they made. i can see myself doing this for the rest of my life. i hope there are other people who feel this way.
