UCSD close school for 1 week....if only I have interviews right now to go....then I can spend much more time on my trip + wouldn't be burned to death if fire sweeps over....

actually no...no part of UCSD is on fire right now.

School is just closed because over half a million people were evacuated from their homes because of so many wildfires.

Resuming most likely on Monday, interviews and the school will be back to normal. 👍 Keep the people affected by the fires in your thoughts!

ucsd is closed for the week because of the really poor air quality. i had my air conditioning on earlier today to change the air in my apartment, and the air was so full of debris that my room felt like san bernardino county. made me really thirsty, and my roommate started coughing.

instead of worrying about interviews and wallowing in self-pity, why don't you find some stuff to donate or go over to qualcomm to help out those who were evacuated? we're pretty safe in la jolla, so you might as well use your free time efficiently. life could be worse.
