so I am in a bind right now being a junior and retaking some classes that in my freshman year struggled in. I can fit in two classes which are 4 credit hours a piece but I have two more that are also 4 credit hours a piece. I was looking at a community college to do them online this summer but they are not the exact same classes. It is a Bio class and the one at my university has a different course description than the community college. Alot of apps just say a class in biology so if I retake in the CC would it count in a recalculation ?

It really varies depending on the school.

For example, MUSC requires that anatomy 1 and 2 be in the same category. This means that if you take anatomy at one school and it's listed as Bio 210 and you take anatomy 2 at another school that has it listed as EXSC 211, they won't take it. Both have to be either biology or exercise science. No idea why they do this and anatomy is the only class where this discrepancy happens. Supposedly you can't mix major related core classes with general level classes

I know first hand because I ran into this problem.

Things such as chemistry, physics, biology, general psychology, and statistics don't have this problem because they're the same class at every school.
