If you couldn't be a dentist...

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
bring this somewhere else...

... in here, we're all dentists already

I think this is an interesting question...I would try veterinary medicine if I couldn't be a dentist...but that's definitely not to say it wouldn't be a difficult application process as well!

a housewife 😀

jk lol.. it would be nice tho.. but prob do something with psych. Therapist? psychologist?

Try my hand at the second highest rate of suicide job...and what my degree is in...accounting....haha shoot me now

I would try veterinary medicine if I couldn't be a dentist...

When I was little, I actually wanted to be a vet. And then years later I finally realized I was allergic to cats, and in the end I decided not to do that, haha. On that note, I've also heard it's more difficult to get into veterinary school than it is to get into dental school, though I'm not sure how true this is.

Maybe I would go into research? I don't really know.

I think I would do teaching. Like a high school biology teacher. Or something like that.

I'd also probably wanna be a vet! Maybe a psychologist!! But nothing beats dentistry 😀.

Computer science/bio. A combination of those is very appealing.
If not, just computer science=)

teacher

if i had the skill and if my parents weren't blowhards and were open to me being anything i wanted to be then i'd be in film, an athlete, artist, musician or architect

I'm a little ashamed of it but I would probably go back to construction 🙄 I loved destroying things only to make them beautiful again

I would either go into another health profession, get a PhD in cell and molecular biology, or be a forensic scientist.

Work in public relations...jk already did that...not so great 🙂 Maybe try for vet medicine...or just be happy being a hygienist

self-deleted due to immature, crude, lewd and insensitive comment

I would go into Fashion. Not to become a designer, but maybe a buyer for a big department store or working in fashion merchandising.

flight attendant...it has always been my dream job...

a construction worker flag waver....hahaha

jk jk ...a teacher

Try for medicine or get my PhD in bio and teach at the college level

Either some sort of mindless government job, or I'd mastermind some sort of massive Ponzi Scheme.

Seriously though, I'd probably go into some sort of sports related industry like physical therapy, sports medicine, etc.

Dmessina, how stupid of you to assume "we're all dentist". This is a pre-dental thread. Maybe I'm just jealous cause I have not been accepted yet.... I would get a phd in biology and do research and teach.

hey buddy, I was being funny and being optimistic. Everyone in here, considering they want it bad enough, can become a dentist if in thier heart it is REALLY want they want to do. It may take more work for some then others and it may not be THIS very cycle but where theres a will theres a way. Don't be so quick to assume stupidity.

ha i would do my part time job cowboy/male stripper full time

Do you guys mean like if something from the universe hits planet earth with billions of outer space particles that will make EVERYONE have and keep healthy & straight teeth from birth to death so there won't be any need for dentists for millions of years? (my son's idea--I have a 10 yrs old with a huge imagination)

In this case, then I'd build and remodel homes. Love construction and I'm good at it, but I'd never be totally happy......it's not my dream, calling, or vocation.

Plan A: become a dentist
Plan B: keep trying to become a dentist

Wow a women into construction, nice.

I like your Plan A and B. 👍

My plan A & B is the same as above, but if I wanted to be another profession:

1. Lifeguard
2. Politician
3. Homeopathic Doc

Note: #1 & 2 aren't actually jobs for those unaware -- more like an 8-hour break, esp. the politcian's.

I'm be a single octuplet mom, maybe a few more on the side to make a football team, get as much federal aid as possible, and then buy a gigantic mansion right next to a DS. That would be my plan B if no DS takes me!

Hmm...

1) Vet...even though hurt animals kill me 🙁 🙁
2) Something involving FOOTBALL
3) ....mortician... :meanie:
