If you do an amalgam on a patient and used photac gic, and realise after putting in amalgam........that you forgot to etch and bond while using photac gic, how is it going to affect the patient?:(

Probably the same as if you didn't use a bonding agent.

I am sure that you know more than me, but from what I know it would be more of an issue, if the prep lacked adequate retention, eg it was large, poorly done, ect.

I'm not so familiar with Photac GI, but I assume you used it as a base to seal off the pulpal floor on a deep preparation. I usually use Vitrebond for that type of application, which is also a light cure GI. I've never had to etch/bond for any GI. Some requires a polyacrylic acid conditioning, which is supposed to remove the smear layer. If the patient isn't having any post-op sensitivity and the amalgam restoration is good, it'll probably be ok.
