Instead of searching through salary.com and all that stuff, you can look up your field and your area and see actual salaries being offered. You can go through medical specialties if you feel the need to compare.

I thought urologists make 2-250k... they have offers up for 525k starting lol

More often than not what you see is not what you get when it comes to salaries. Especially in the medical field.

👍 I think majority of $$$ are understated because of the fact that private offices dont report their incomes on here (whether dental, medical etc.) and these #s reflect public salaries i.e hospitals, clinics, etc. Private practice always pays more and doesn't officially report their income to websites like these.

Well if a salary is offered in a job, how would that change? Or are you saying it comes in benefits and options and all that?

Yes it may include a benefits package. In some cases that could be significant (health insurance, malpractice, 401k matching, I'm not sure what all they can include in that). But you can be sure that when you see $500k on a website like that, that won't be your income before taxes. Now I'm not saying there aren't urologists who make that much because I honestly have no idea, just be wary about those kinds of things until you see it on paper with a couple signatures.

If you dig around for a while you come across a bunch that include offers in the descriptions. Usually under base salary or guaranteed salary
