If you run a "Certiphi" on yourself will med-schools be able to see it?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I ask because if they see that you ran a background check on yourself then they probably assume that you're looking for something.

Background: I was issued a $50 ticket for a minor offense that is in the same classification as "walking your dog without a leash" and "improper use of lawn furniture" (not making that up lol). I payed it the next day, but I'm worried it could come back and bite me in the a**

Is this thing you did classified as a "conviction"? My understanding of the language on the AMCAS is that you only have to disclose convictions, and furthermore only those that have not been expunged. Is this correct?

what about parking violations? seems to be as minor as not walking your dog on a leash, but I'd like to know if this will get me in any trouble down the line.

have you tried looking up your name, address, or any information on your county's website?

It will tell you the violation that you got. You then "copy+paste" your violation code into Google.
Google will tell you under your state law, what type of violation it is under.

So for clarification, if we receive a single parking ticket we have to disclose it on AMCAS??

Ehhh not quite. Depending on the state, it could be just a violation, or it could be a misdemeanor. You wouldn't have to disclose something as negligible as a violation, but a misdemeanor would be required.

What did you do to that lawn chair!?! Is it a misdemeanor? Groping??? Lawn furniture gropers are DOA at ANY school! 😉

Oh god...no they aren't going to care, at all...

They aren't gonna give a damn, OP.
+1 relax. I remember emailing my school about a traffic violation I forget to list. Exact response I got "Those are traffic violations---so they don’t matter, but thanks for letting me know. "

I'm not a lawyer, but Stuff like that is _usually_ going to be a civil fine, levied by a local government, much like a parking ticket. It is not at the level of a criminal fine (in the form of an infraction; also not reportable), as is the case with a traffic ticket. And certainly not a misdemeanor.

I was thinking maybe OP combined the two, and tried to walk his dog with a Pink Flamingo lawn ornament and a garden hose...

I was considering all offenses involving reindeer lawn ornaments as well...you know those things get the brunt of the holiday cheer when it comes to tomfoolery

Flying a Lawn Chair without a license can be a Federal Offense. And this has happened numerous times. Having a dog along would be handled by the ASPCA. The Garden Hose would certainly be suspicious under water restrictions in California and the rest of the west. All in all, Federal, State, and Local Authorities would be involved
I aspire to this. This and a flying Red Ryder wagon (ever since I saw the movie with Elijah Wood). I'm an 80s child. I believe.
