for a month so you can prepare for step 1 and you only could take with you ten books(brs, pretest, first aid........)which ten books would you make sure you took with you?(by the way the ten books had to be medical school related)

How about four (in order of importance):

1) First Aid
2) Step-Up
3) Kaplan Q-Book (assuming no internet connection on the island to connect to Kaplan Q-Bank)
4) Underground Clinical Vignettes (an invaluable companion to FA; although the entire series is 10 books total, they are thin, so I will count the series as one book).

Study these sources very hard for 4-6 weeks and you will beat the mean. At least it worked for me.
