Hi All,

As we move through interview season, I'm just wondering how many DO interviews are necessary for a very high likelihood of at least 1 acceptance? I'm especially interested if anyone has any relevant statistics on this. Let's assume for this purpose that I have average interview skills.

I feel like 3 IIs would give ~65-75% chance of at least 1 acceptance, with 4 IIs being a 90%+ chance, but this is just me spitballing.

I appreciate any and all input!

I think most DO schools have post-II acceptance rates of 50+%. Statistically, this means 2 II's would be 75+% chance of getting in, 3 would be 87.5+%, etc.

With 3 to 4 II's; I feel like someone would have to bite.

There's no clear-cut mathematical formula to it. If you're an absolutely horrible interviewee, then even 8 II's probably won't be enough to get an acceptance.
