So, I was perusing the acceptance thread and there is an acceptance at Stanford! Like, what is the deal! Where is my interview let alone acceptance!

I was stunned to hear as well, partially because I missed Dr. Garcia's first call and his message was deep and radio drama-esque. "Twicetenturns, this is Dr. Garcia from Stanford University Medical School, (darth vader breath) I need to speak to you as soon as possible. (darth vader breath) Call me first thing tomorrow. (again Vader) click. Then in the morning he sounded really fresh and pleasant. Must've just been a long committee meeting the day before.

Anyway I am really excited.

wow, if hes not an ED in my opinion some schools know who they want, and its better to offer him an acceptance now before the harvards send one by march. Its nice to see a school compete for a student.

Wow, thanks for the love y'all.

I agree in thinking the non-traditional background has helped my application. At the very least, I haven't had a shortage of things to talk about in my interviews.
