I was recently accepted into a pharmacy school and realized my two years are up in March. Can I apply for the intern license using the Acceptance letter or do I need to take the PTCB exam to get certified?

The school has to sign off that you are a current pharmacy student. They won't consider you to be a true student until the start of classes. If you want to work as a tech, than you will need to pass the PTCE.

Illinois does not have an 'intern" classification." I'm not sure if the PTCB will be waived if you are a pharmacy student....the students I've worked with since certification have been mandatory have all been certified.

Pharmacy students don't need the PTCB certification.
