I'm bored as hell
Started by The Knife & Gun Club
That 70's Show, House of Cards, The Americans, and of course Grey's Anatomy 🙄
I second Scrubs. I've also been watching NBC's ChicagoMed and enjoying it. No ER but for sure entertaining.
Better Call Saul. If you haven't finished Breaking Bad, then do that first.
I'm sick as hell. Flu 🙁Just got my wisdom teeth yanked and have a couple days of laying in bed eating ice cream before I can do anything productive.
Can anyone suggest some good tv shows or movies to watch? Medically related would be nice, but anything good is welcome.
Bates Motel is pretty cool if you're into horror and liked the movie Psycho.
The Knick

Have you watched Breaking Bad? Yes? Then watch Better Call Saul . Haven't watched BB? Then watch BB, you won't be sorry.
Daredevil on Netflix is great, even though the first season is kind of slow but the second is great.
The Walking Dead.
As for movies, do you like sports movies ? I watched the Blu Ray of "Creed" the other day and thought it was great. The cinematography in that movie is beautiful along with the integration of real faces from the sports world in roles and not just actors.

Definitely The Knick. I also loved all of those documentary shows, NY Med, Boston Med, Hopkins. If you've never watched Mad Men, I highly recommend binge-watching it.
The Emperor of All Maladies
Cosmos (old and new versions)
Anything on Nova, Nature or the American Experience.

Halt and Catch Fire produced by AMC. The two seasons are on Netlfix! It is about the coding and production of computers during the early era
Edit: I also second the Knick, although I believe only one season as been produced

Seconding The Emperor of All Maladies, if you're interested in cancer. The Emperor of All Maladies
Also House of Cards.
That 70's Show, House of Cards, The Americans, and of course Grey's Anatomy 🙄
House of Cards amd The Americans get my vote.
Both set in DC area and involve government and dirty dealing.
House of Cards is on Netflix (4 seasons -- 1st, 2nd and 4th are best, I think)
The Americans is an FX show I'm watching now on Amazon Prime. Set in the 1980s with some flashbacks to the 60s. Some Russian subtitles so you have to be prepared to read the screen. It was recommneded to me by a Jesuit priest which surprised me a bit given the amount of nudity. Also plenty of sex and violence.
You really need to pay attention to the plot twists and the relationships among characters. If you are messed up with painkillers, you might be better off with something like Better Call Saul which is a great romp, even if you haven't seen Breaking Bad (I couldn't stomach Breaking Bad and folded after 2 episodes but I followed the plot from afar).

The Physician was pretty good. On Netflix right now. Sort of a blend of historical medical fiction/fantasy.
Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Bates Motel, Louie, anything else by Loius CK, Game of Thrones, The IT Crowd.

I have to second the suggestion about the Cosmos! Additionally, Carl Sagan's thoughts on human conceit are humbling and I think important to understand.

I liked the new Cosmos series with Neil Degrasse Tyson but I feel he got a little campy with the whole "look my name is in his planner" spiel. It was cool, and then he repeated it like 4 times and I was like, "that's nice Neil, let's move on"

But I suggest watching House if you haven't!
I second The West Wing. I am watching it right now and it is possibly the best tv show I've ever seen. And this is coming from someone who has almost zero interest in politics.

That show is terrible. I tried watching a couple episodes and the horrible writing was too much to overcome.
You have to suffer through the first few seasons before it gets good, and then it gets awful around season 9...can't exactly disagree with ya hahaThat show is terrible. I tried watching a couple episodes and the horrible writing was too much to overcome.

When they have a neurosurgeon doing heart surgery and then doing gyn surgery or whatever they do, that's just horrible writing.
I definitely was watching it more for the eye candy opposed to the medical accuracy lol, girls watch dumb s*** sometimes what can I say 😵When they have a neurosurgeon doing heart surgery and then doing gyn surgery or whatever they do, that's just horrible writing.
Eastbound and Down.
Can someone please explain to me why Greys Anatomy is good? I tried to watch it and I literally hate every character except Meredith and the main guy.
The hot blonde is constantly complaining.
The asian girl seems to do nothing but try and belittle others
The "shy" guy is also complaining constantly./
Most of all I cant make it through a scene with that guy who basically just sexually harasses the other co-workers all the time.
I havent made it out of the first season. Is it supposed to get better or something?
