Is it me? Or are there other applicants whom have not received an invitation for an interview? This is very depressing.

I was in the same boat until last night, and only one of my friends has already had an interview. None of the rest of them even have invitations yet.

Just remember that everything is delayed this year. I'm sure you'll hear something soon. 🙂

Woah!! Don't feel depressed over that...

Those interview invites will arrive in your mailbox/e-mail soon. Just give it time. In the meanwhile, put it at the back of your mind. I know, I know...easier said than done.

If it makes you feel any better, I won't get any invites for awhile b/c I took the August MCAT, and now I'm worried my scores will not be higher but lower b/c of that damn (oops, sorry) verbal section.

Just be patient (that's my "Nikeish" quote)....

schools will be interviewing until next april/may, and acceptances can be offered at any time, so it's way too early to get depressed! 🙂

for the record, i don't have any interviews yet either....but i just found out about two weeks ago that one of my recommenders hadn't mailed out ANY of her letters yet, even though i've been mailing back secondaries since july!

Don't worry at all. I haven't gotten any interviews, and I haven't even got secondaries from many of the schools I applied to...and I submitted my AMCAS two months ago. Not only that I have high grades and MCAT scores, so I should be passing through any standardized pre-screening. But, it's kind of a ridiculous process...so I think you just need to go with the flow, and spend your time not worrying.

In the same boat! My letters are not all in either. What's the best way to approach your rec letter writers about hurrying up and getting them in? my first deadline date is Oct 25th!!!!

As someone who interviewed last year, I can attest to the fact that I had SEVERAL friends who never received their first interview invite until early winter. Don't let the people on this board psych you out.

i just mentioned the fact that i'd been returning secondaries since july, and since it's rolling admissions the sooner my file was reviewed the better my chances....and that the only thing preventing my file from being reviewed was her letter. she mailed them all out that day. 😀

so hopefully i'll start hearing something soon, but as i mentioned earlier, it's a very long process and there's still 8 months or so left to the interviewing season. i know plenty of people who didn't get any interviews until the spring and still were accepted. so don't sweat it!
