without any sort of warning at all I get an interview invite to U. Pitt. via email. Frankly I had written them off entirely and forgot I had even applied.

This is awfully late, isn't it? Is there any chance in hell that I would NOT be interviwing for a waitlist spot? I like Pitt and would certainly consider it over Case. But it's kinda late in the process now. Wondering if it is worth my time and money.

What say you?

A friend of mine interviewed there late (March to be exact) and got in. She got in right away, no wait list. Another friend interviewed there in Dec and they got wait listed. Strange turn of events but I think they are the type of place that considers the person and not the time/or events.

Now Judd.....with no bias here..... .....I definitely say go to Pitt because it is much better than Case. 🙄 Matter of fact I am sure that once you have completed your interview you will be granted admission on the spot.

So, with that in mind you probably should call Case now and tell them you are rejecting their acceptance.

If you want, you can suggest my name as a potential candidate to take your spot!

Ok...but on the real...congrats on the invite and I hope someone can provide better insight than I.


P.S. In all seriousness it is definitely worth the time and money to spend on the interview if it is a school you desire to go to. If it was a lower choice/preference school then one you have an acceptance to I would put your money in the bank cause you're going to need it later!! Keep us posted with what you decided to do.

Pitt is non-rolling, so they haven't made any admissions decisions yet. apparently, the first batch of decisions will go out during the first week of march, and subsequent decisions will be made on a rolling basis. hope that helps

Every last school that interviewed me at the beggining of the cycle waitlisted me. MCW gave me an interview on the 6th of this month, I got my acceptance today. You can never tell, if you're interested I would say there is a possibility, even though it is late.
