I don't know, I think I need a Salmonella typhimurium since I got Salmonellosis from a sick foal last year.* I've never been so sick and miserable in my life. The least that could come out of it is a cute little microbe!

*No s***. Actually, lots of s***. Liquid feces hitting the walls, probably sending invisible droplets going everywhere. Another tech got it, too, even though we wore coveralls, boots, and gloves. The foal was really sick (but did make it) and must have been shedding tremendous numbers of bacteria.
 
Does it say somewhere how big they actually are? I mean, a microbe could be "giant" and still not visible with the naked eye so that's not too specific.

This may be a nice "Adios, sucka" graduation departing gift for my adviser.

Edit: Mmm, it's on their main page. 5-7" for those like me who are slow with the obvious 😉
 
since I'm a teacher, I've already got most of these.

philo - i knew you were a woman after my own heart!! treponema pallidum pays my salary. i've gotta find this one for everyone in my lab as a parting gift.

the clap is neisseria gonorrheae - a gram-negative diplococci, often causes acute urethritis in males, often asymptomatic in females (and male rectum), but may lead to infertility, ectopic pregnancy.

keep 'em coming! this may be one of my favorite threads so far!
 
Guilty confession... Ordered the blood cells for my sister's kids and one set for me too! I'm thinking of sending my friend who is graduating from an international health (Africa) focused MPH program in May the set of "calamities"...:laugh:
 
Meh, was going to order some after class today but the cop wasn't so forgiving of the 51 in a 35 just a half a mile before home 😱 There goes the Syph I was gonna buy first *cry*
