I really don't want to make the interviewers uncomfortable by coughing into my hand...should I just cough into my shoulder/elbow? Bring a tissue?

I also have a runny nose that I might have to blow...what to do??

you should ALWAYS cough into your shoulder/elbow...

do whatever you need to do to make yourself comfortable. the interviewers are not robots...they will understand that you are sick

ALWAYS cover your mouth and look away from the crowd if you have to cough. If you have running nose, just simply say excuse me and step aside to blow it out. It's better to do that than to have boogers/waters running down from your nostrils. Trust me, I had to deal with that at one of my interviews (even had a fever,) it's a tough thing to deal with but you gotta deal with it!!! Good luck!! You can do it!!👍👍

take a hot shower in the morning! it will drain you of most of your boogies, and you'll be good for a few hours

Snot rocket!! Works every time!

👍 and get lots of sleep today and hopefully you'll be fully recover by the time you interview...

good luck:xf:

tell them if they dont accept you... that you are going to snot rocket them...seriously... works every time.

I went to a couple interviews sick... just let them know you are under the weather when you get there, theyll understand.. be polite, take some cough syrup before (non-drowsy) to limit your coughing and maybe some decongestant.. and get through it the best you can... theyll see your effort

Well, do yourself a favor and take a tissue with you.
2nd, relax.
You're just human, and humans get sick!
I'm sure your interviewer knows this fact about humans, and your sickness wouldn't affect his/her decision.
Good luck🙂

thanks for the tips. fortunately i only had to launch the snot rockets into a tissue before the interview.

According to OCEA rules, you are supposed to cough into your shoulder. I would do that and it will actually help your interview that you are conscious of this.
