IM training in Canada but practicing in US?

Hey does anyone know if IM training in Canada would allow one to practice IM in the US? I know the training is different (ie at least 4 years in Canada and mostly focused on IM, while in US it's three years and also includes some ob-gyn etc) but I would assume that one would be well trained enough in Canada to be able to do general internal medicine in an inpatient setting for example?
