https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/
The above URL is for a study designed to determine implicit preferences an individual may harbor--such as preferences for or against different sexualities, races, religions, gender, etc. The design is pretty simple: essentially, it tests the ease with which you associate "good" or "bad" with one group or the other. Of course, any implicit preferences that may be uncovered do not mean you're a bigot. I'm sure we all understand that the brain is a little more complex than to believe that our thoughts and actions are dictated purely on a subconscious level. If I had to speculate, the test probably operates largely on the level of the amygdaloid defense response before top-down modulation occurs--that is, before our conscious thought regulates our subconscious reactions.
Any thoughts, debates, or discussions could be interesting. To take one or many of the tests, click the URL, click the "Demonstration" button, go the demonstration tests, and then proceed. They don't take long.
