Does anyone know why it is important to do a fellowship (i.e. Pain) in a program that is ACGME accredited. I have looked at UPenn's Interventional Physiatry fellowship and although it is not accredited, it trains you to do the same procedures as the ACGME accredited PM&R fellowships?? Please let me know what I'm missing here!

Thank you
