I'm a reapplicant, but this is the first time I'll be applying to schools that require 2 English courses, and I only have one. So, for financial and scheduling reasons, I'll be taking another English course at the local community college this fall. The problem is, the course with the most interesting sounding description is called "Reading and Understanding." This name makes it sound like it's 2nd grade level to me. Should I take a potentially less interesting course, but one with a name that sounds less ridiculous? (For what it's worth, it's a 297 level, and the highest English class that the school offers.) TIA

Yeah, you'll be fine. English is English. If they give you credit for it; you're golden.
