Importance of Fungi on Part 1

I just started micro decks and hit fungi...got really irritated by the amount of info on it.
I was wanting to get your guys' opinion on this. Is it crucial to know the different types of spores and fungi species associated with them?
They are really annoying..

p.s. does anybody have ne good mnemonics for fungi that they'd like to share! Thanks a Lot!

Fungi is a NBDE favorite lately. not something you wanna skip. do it well and for sure it's not the hardest part of the exam. 4-5 qs about fungi will appear in your exam.

I can honestly say I had at least 5 I can remember off the top of my head. Had 1-2 about protozoans as well.
