Right now I have a 3.3ogpa and that's after my winter quarter grades. I was originally planning to apply first week of June, but my spring quarter grades won't be updated into the application during that time. With my spring quarter grades, I would have a 3.4 ogpa and I was just wondering if it was worth it to hold my application just for my spring grades. I know you can do an academic update later, but I don't want to risk my chances with a 3.3 if it's gonna make a difference. Is there really a difference between 3.3 and 3.4 with my DAT scores?

21AA,22TS,22PAT

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

The difference is 0.1. But no really, personally I would probably wait and submit as a 3.4 gpa. You can look at stats from previous years and see the average gpa and gpa ranges of those enrolled at your prospective schools, so that will give you some perspective. Ultimately you'll just have to decide what you think is best and give it a shot.

No way, I would NOT wait until spring grades come out. Keep in mind you'd still have to wait on your transcript to actually get to AADSAS, and then there is additional wait time for AADSAS to calculate your GPA. I believe your stats are good enough to land you several interviews especially if you apply as soon as apps come out. Plus, you can always send unofficial transcripts with your spring grades to schools that you are really interested in to cut out that additional waiting time prior to acad update.

I won't be waiting either.. Your DAT is great so just apply asap. You can always do academic updates later on.

It depends on when your quarter finishes. Talk to your professors and see if they can expedite your grade then rush deliver your transcripts. In all honesty, I don't think it makes a big difference between applying June 6 or June 15. You may not even hve all your LORs verified before the transcript arrives. With a gpa that is borderline, I feel the .1 may help.

I agree, I would look into expediting your transcripts to AADSAS. I think if you have everything submitted in June, you are definitely still considered an early applicant. I also think that the difference between a 3.3 and 3.4 might not be that significant, but if you are bringing up your GPA that much, then you probably have a strong trend, at least for the last semester. I didn't have a very high GPA either, but both schools I interviewed at brought up my strong trend and were very impressed.
