Hello all,
I’m hoping to be a physician scientist in the future but I want to get there through an MD and then possibly pursue a fellowship or something of the sort that would get me more involved in the research side of medicine. My question is mostly about how ad coms look at this, since they may wonder why I wouldn’t just do an MD-PhD. The nature of my question stems from the fact that as a sophomore in college, I’m currently thinking of making an APSA chapter (American Physician Scientist Association) at my school but again, I’m wondering if an activity that’s mostly for MD-PhD’s would look a bit weird on my app.
