Hi guys,
So I have been practicing verbal for a while now, and although I am decent on it I am not improving at all! I have done the entire TPR verbal book of practice passages and half of the EK verbal book. My first test I got an 11. I still continue to average an 11, with the odd 12 and one or two 10's. I always read over the answers carefully, and usually understand where I went wrong. I just don't know how to improve my score! I was wondering if anyone experienced something similar and found a good way to improve their score? Most of the strategies I have seen online are really just things I am already doing. Any advice would be appreciated!

I did one this morning

I notice that my strategy for this has changed a bit

scored a 13/15, but I used to score lower

my advice?
-actually read the passage, don't just skim it or anything.
-read it as objectively as possible; don't bring in any bias when you read the passage or analyze the passage

Go do a couple passages and try reading as SLOW AND STEADILY as possible. Most people think they have to go read fast to have enough time to do the questions. Remember that the verbal reasoning section is designed to be finished for an AVERAGE READER.

Try reading slow and focus more on the passage. If you find yourself running out of time, speed up again but its worth a shot to try that.

Aside from that, I try to skim the question quick before reading. Also, take a couple deep breathes before starting each passage to help you clear the knowledge from the old passage.
