In AMCAS, does shadowing go under med. volunteering or other?

I have done 50 hours of shadowing, mostly in office or at a hospital, not a free-clinic, so it wouldn't really be "community service - medical" would it? Better suited to go under the "other" category?

No. Community service implies that he/she did something for the community. This was for his/her benefit. Shadowing is exactly that.
