I'm going to ask you all straight up. Which school would you go to, and why?
Any advice is appreciated!

Which is closer to home? Is either within driving distance? If all else was equal, that would be the kicker for me.
I wish I knew! I am trying to find the academic calendar for each school.Hah! So they're even tied in that regard!
Which one has longer Christmas & summer breaks? 😀
I know it is possible to gain residency for Temple and save quite a bit. On the other hand it is basically impossible to do so in VCU.
I thought it was pretty much next to impossible to get residency at Temple. I would double check to make sure.
I really don't think you can go wrong either way. The only real difference would be the weather, with Philly having more hectic winter storms. I'd make sure you are 100% sure about whether you can get instate at Temple. I don't think you can, but just make sure.Anyone else? I'm currently leaning towards VCU.
I doubt I will be able to get in-state residency because I plan on coming back to my home state of Maryland.I think thats outdated. Temple has become much more difficult to get instate residency.

From what I recall, Brian said during the interview not to plan on getting in-state at Temple because it's next to impossible.I doubt I will be able to get in-state residency because I plan on coming back to my home state of Maryland.

Hi. I'm at VCU. What do you want to know? VCU is a clinical school. At this point as a D1, I've done Class I-VI composite and amalgam preps and restorations, diastema closure, veneers, and have given injections to patients. I am also rotating through multiple specialty and general practice departments. I don't know if this is earlier exposure than what occurs at other schools but most people think VCU has a strong clinical curriculum.Does anyone know what the reputation of these 2 schools are?
