in state tuition after one year?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
For some states, like Virginia (and a lot of southern states with bad access to care), switching residency can be tricky. It would be best to ask each school individually!

Do you know about VCU specifically? I can't remember what they said about us when I interviewed.

UConn does this - allows for a "cheap" school for an OOS student! 😀

I forget off the top of my head, either VCU or Maryland said its impossible. They said they want permanent residents, not students that will leave later.

haha, of course. hopefully it's not vcu. thanks for the info

Hey,

Does anyone know which schools let you get instate tuition after one year? Minnesota?

Thanks
Minnesota doesn't do this except for RARE occasions, like, if you bought a house or something and were paying property taxes, switched your license, registration, etc...so I would doubt it! I only know that UNLV does this on a pretty regular basis...
