SDN, I am trying to make a decision between an in state school and out of state school, but have some concerns about the board exam and if taking it out of state will allow me to practice in my home state. Does anyone know of a website where I can find more information on the subject?

First, I don't think you should be basing your decision on where to go to school on whether or not the regional board exam covered for your home state is offered or not. Second, it depends where your home state is. There are different regional board examinations and each school offers different board exams, so you most likely have to find it on the school website or call them and ask.

Well my concern is that if I go to a school in a region that has a different board exam than the one I would need to take to practice in my home state, the school might teach material in a way that would benefit their students for their regional boards, therefore hindering my ability to successfully complete the board in my state. Either way, you are right. It makes sense just to call the school.

I would like to know the answer to OP's question as well and I don't think it was answered here..

If I go to school in another state than the one I want to practice in, what requirements do I have to complete during/after dental school? I've heard repeatedly "don't go to school in another state because it'll be hard to practice back at home." WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!

If you need an example since it apparently varies by region, practicing in California but going to school in New York.

Thanks!
