So I am going to be in Florida for about a week, first for my LECOM interview and then to visit friends, one of which is in Ft. Lauderdale. Should I call Nova and let them know I will be in town? I havent heard anything from them, except from the postcard that was delivered with my LORs. I emailed them earlier in the week to see if I was complete and received no response. Should I call them and let them know?

I don't see how it can hurt, do you have anything else volunteer/work/school related that you could update your app with as well? Could turn that into a phone call saying "Hey, just wanted to update you with some recent info, I'm still interested, oh and I'll be doing some traveling in FL in the next week....."

Good luck with your LECOM interview down here! When is it?

Thanks its next week. I don't really have anything to update, everything is pretty much the same.

Are you playing any lax down there? I Miami men's team is pretty good we lost the championship to them when I was playing for the Tampa mens team a few years back.

oops I just saw you were at LECOM not Nova! Do you have any hints, tips, suggestions for me?

Yea, I'm in bradenton. Actually haven't played lacrosse in a couple years, and unfortunately just don't have the time now to do a men's league or something.

For your interview here definitely look through the interview feedback here. They use a "standard" set of questions that go through for each interview so you can pretty much get a sense of what they're going to ask you from the feedback section. At least for the past few years it's been like that instead of a more conversational flowing type of interview, so don't feel discouraged if you come out of the interview not sure of how you did because you didn't receive much non-verbal feedback from the interviewers.

Well I called.....and told them what dates I would be in Ft Lauderdale and was told that all of those dates were already filled....then after a brief pause he told me to call back early next week and he would try to work something out!

Now Im kind of confused, not sure if he was looking at my stats and thought Iw as a good candidate for an interview or if he was going about it blind. Either way I am excited to call back next week!

the person you talked to proally was an admissions counselor and im not sure that they make decisions on your applications...usually the admissions committee members do...but, it could be that ur app got a favorable reviwe from the committee and he briefly glanced at it and asked you to call back...which is a gooood thing i think 👍
