Including unsolicited information along with secondary to AECOM and other schools

I have a published paper, and in my secondary (asked what I did during my time off), I mentioned that it was written, etc... Should I add this in to my secondary envelope? It is approximately 6 pages....

i wouldn't...i think the committee's have enough to read and won't take the time out to read the paper. maybe, if you get an interview, you can send it and i think they will consider it when they are trying to decide whether or not to accept you...if you really want to go to ae, i would send a letter of interest to the school basically saying why your'e a perfect fit. hope that helps. not sure if i'm completely right though.

If I were you, I'd include it.

With all my secondaries, I've included a sheet with "additional information" that describes things I've done after submitting my AMCAS application. None of my schools have seemed to be put off by this.

By providing it to them, you are not forcing them to read it. If they feel overwhelmed, they don't have to look at it.

Publishing a paper is a great accomplishment and anything you can do to bring attention to it would most likely be to your benefit.

Why not just send the abstract with the reference info? They probably won't read the whole paper anyway.

Darn it...prob not a good idea to send the whole paper, but I printed it anyway... argh...so confusing...if they don't care, they can throw it away, right?
