I am getting ready for Step 1, and was wondering if anyone had some kind of summary of viral inclusion bodies (i.e. which ones are cyto, nuclear, or both; eosinophilic or baso;etc).

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here...from memory I believe:

Nuclear - HSV, CMV, measles (post vaccination)
Cytoplasmic - Nuclear Fibriallary tangles (NFTs), Chlamydia (EB/RB), sphingolipidoses, glycogenoses
Eosinophilic - Negri bodies
Basophilic - I would imagine anything with a negative charge (i.e. DNA)
Extracellular - Amyloidosis (AD, MM, etc.), CJD

maybe if people would cut & paste to this list we could get a HY thread going...

Edit: Sorry, I got to typing and just realized you were only asking about viral inclusions...

Don't forget
