Incorporating FA into Pre-clinical years

Hello, I am starting medical school in August and would like to incorporate step1 prep into my study schedule early. I have been advised to purchase FA and was wondering how people use FA in MS-1 and whether there are other things I should be doing in first year to prep for step-1 besides doing well in class? Thanks.

Personally, I wouldn't use FA all that much (other than as a reference). I found using sketchy medical during the first year to be the only resource of value down the road.
