Increase in # of applicants?

So, already some PC's are starting to boast that there is an increase in the # of applicants this year d/t Obama's legislation. (Needless to say, I don't really believe them). For the PD's, PC's, other's out there, yay or nay from your experience this year? Have you seen an increase in the no. of ppl/AMG's applying to your programs?

It's up from what I've heard for AMG's for this time of the year. I don't know if anyone has the big picture knowledge to say definitively that it's "due to Obama."

But interesting nevertheless...
