I have heard that the Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility Fellowship is particularly competitive these days.... I was wondering if anyone knows just how competitive? I.E. how many applicants for how many positions, etc. What do people do when they are not accepted to increase their chances upon re-application? Thanks for any information ....!

You can check the following website for information:
www.socrei.org

It has an acrobat file listing many of the programs and citing their requirements, number of positions, etc. From what I understand in talking with the REI faculty at my med school, it IS competitive, but now there are a significant # of fellowships available.

Another option is to check the Ob Gyn websites for the programs in which you are interested. They usually have links to the fellowship programs offered.
