Get whichever one meets or exceeds the requirements, which you should have received in the mail. I got a T60, 1.8ghz duo core with all sorts of bells and whistles. Good luck.

Hi
Thanks for ur reply and I appreciate ur response...

I had the x41 tablet. Worked great, though I ended up never using the textbook, so the whole, reading curled up on the couch thing like a book didn't really pan out.

get any laptop...and not from nyu bookstore cuz its a rip off. Find the best deal u can and just get warranty with it. BEst buy has some good deals with rebates or go to www.deals2buy.com and look at the laptop deals there..real good. You can get a great deal on a dell there and then use that same warranty at the bookstore. Gluck

Iam looking something which is light weight...Right now Iam having Dell Inspiron 6000 series..but that is 6.5 lbs and it may be difficult for me to carry it...so I thought IbM labtops are light wt and going for it...
Anyways thanks for ur info..

If I buy an IBM from another source with a warranty, can the NYU bookstore act as the "service centre" or do I have to buy it from there?

from what I believe they can act as a service center, but call them to make sure.
